Poll: Jordan Clarkson is an absolute keeper in a brutal season that saw them win just 21 games, there were a few bright spots for the Lakers. The biggest one was probably the play of Jordan Clarkson, a rookie selected with the 46th pick in the 2014 NBA draft. His performance late in the season warranted a spot in the All-Rookie 1st Team, the first for a Laker since Eddie Jones 20 years ago.

Clarkson’ rise has not go unnoticed to HoopsHype readers. No one received more endorsements than the bouncy 6-foot-5 guard when we asked who the Lakers should retain for the next season – 95.4 percent voted for L.A. to keep him compared to 72.4 percent for Kobe Bryant and his albatross of a contract.

All in all, HoopsHype readers only endorsed the continuity of seven Lakers from the 2014-15 season. Among those that did not receive 50 percent of approval were Nick Young, Jordan Hill, Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin.
