Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, he of the shoots-too-much fame, had 20 assists Wednesday night against the Clippers, which pushed his season average to 10.5 apg. With just 18 games left, Westbrook is now close to a mortal lock to become the 10th player in NBA history to average 20-plus points and 10-plus assists in a regular season. Deron Williams was the last one to accomplish the impressive feat in 2010-11. The legendary Oscar Robertson did it five times.
Westbrook is set to demolish his previous career-high average in assists: 8.6 apg in 2014-15.
