NBA Mock Draft 2016: Centers

Center / 7-1 / Utah / Sophomore
17.2 ppg, 9.1 rpg

Poeltl figures to find a spot somewhere in this range. Orlando has a solid big in Vucevic, but word is there's a good chance this pick gets moved. Poeltl's potential as a two way big gives him the type of intrigue that could make a team try to make a move up for.

Comparison: Bill Wennington
Salary: $2,033,500*
Center / 7-0 / Vanderbilt / Junior
13.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg

Jones was one of the few players who got a clean bill of health on his medical reports, but he ended up tearing his pectoral muscle in a workout and is now out for the summer league and won't be back until training camp. Jones likely won't slide far despite the injury as he's an athletic big that can shoot it: A hot commodity in today's NBA.

Salary: $1,199,900*
Center / 7-0 / Mega Leks (Serbia) / 1997
6.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg

There's an excellent chance this pick will be made for another team as Boston currently has eight draft picks, and they already have a deep team. Their two options are either to make a package trade for a player or move up, or a bunch of draft and stashing with the solid International crop available.

Comparison: Nenad Krstic
Salary: $1,151,900*
Center / 7-0 / Nevada-Las Vegas / Freshman
10.5 ppg, 8.7 rpg

Zimmerman could go a little higher, and he could also fall into the second round. He's a solid athlete and scorer, but struggled to break out as a freshman. Phoenix needs help in their frontcourt, so Zim could certainly fight for minutes.
