Former Syracuse standout Gerry McNamara will be in training camp with the Utah Jazz, agent Bill Neff told HoopsHype.com. McNamara is best known as Carmelo Anthony's sidekick during the Orange's NCAA title run in 2003.

The 6-foot-2 guard played last season in Latvia for local powerhouse BK Ventspils. He now faces long odds to make the opening day roster of the Jazz, stacked at the point guard position with Deron Williams, Brevin Knight and Ronnie Price.
