There's been no progress lately in the Danilo Gallinari-Olimpia Milano situation, but that could change in a few days when the coach of the team and Gallinari's agent arrive in Italy, the player's father said.
"We're waiting for next week," Vittorio Gallinari told HoopsHype. "That's when Arn Tellem will be in Italy. He's in Lithuania now. We will talk about everything then.
"(The club) will wait for coach Sergio Scariolo to come back from the European Championship to decide everything – if the team is OK like this or they need something different."
Scariolo is now coaching heavily favored Spain at the Eurobasket. The tournament ends Sunday.
When asked about Danilo's preferences, Vittorio Gallinari said his son is just focused on recovering from a minor injury at this point.
"Right now, he's recovering from a small injury he had at the Eurobasket. He took a hit in the leg and he's doing some therapy to recover, but it's just a little thing. Nothing special. It will take just one week or 10 days."
Gallinari had a more than decent performance at the European Championship, but couldn't prevent Italy from getting eliminated in the first round of the tournament. The Nuggets forward averaged 15.2 ppg and 6.4 rpg in five games.
