| Vladimir Radmanovic: "I'm very proud of how far we've come" Has adjusting to the pro game been difficult? Vladimir Radmanovic: Not as much as I thought, but the coaches helped me out very well, it wasn’t that hard. I owe a lot to them for helping me out. Are you proud of the Sonics performance along with yours this season? VR: Yes I’m very proud of how far we’ve come this season. As for myself, I still have a lot of work to do but I know I’ll get better down the road. Do you look forward to the offseason and improving your game somewhat? VR: Yes I do, especially this summer. Will you be playing in the World Championships this summer with Yugoslavian? VR: Yes. Right after the season is over, I will be heading over there to start practicing. I’m very excited and looking forward to it. Were you surprised how quickly you made it into the lineup, even starting? VR: Yes, when I was younger, I would watch the games on TV. I would dream about maybe someday playing with them and now it’s come true. Even starting has becoming something of a dream but I worked hard to get to where I am. How does it feel to be teammates with Gary Payton? VR: He’s one of the greatest. I grew up watching him on TV as well. Now I’m his teammate, I have learned quite a lot from him this year. So how do you like living in Seattle as compared to back home? VR: It rains a lot up in Seattle. Haven’t really a chance to see what it’s like, cause we’re traveling so much during the season. Mainly, I look forward to heading back home to Yugoslavia. But Seattle is a nice place. Johnnie Clay is a regular contributor to HoopsHype.com Tell us what you think about this interview.
