Jaric: "In a couple of years, we can go for
the title"
Marko, how is the NBA game different than the different professional leagues in which you've played abroad? Marko Jaric: I'm still learning the difference. The couple of games I've played I'm still slowly trying to learn the differences. Like players blocking my shot over here, that didn't happen in Europe. Players here are very quick and I have to adapt very fast. So the NBA game is quicker from your standpoint? MJ: A little bit... yeah. For example Europe has the 24 second clock but hasn't always had it. But also the movement on the floor is faster. Just some things are different and trying to learn the NBA is difficult because it's so very fast and a little bit different. You've been a winner in virtually every league you've played; Italy, Greece, etc. and most recently as a member of the Gold Medal Yugoslavian National Team at the World Championships. How does that help you here with an organization that hasn't had a lot of success? MJ: I'm trying to keep it [my winning] going (laughs). I'm trying first to find my spot in team and to be the first to win with this team. I'd like to get better, better, better until the point where I can help them win. Maybe we're a little young, maybe a little too early to speak about winning. Yes, you may be young, but you're also in the tougher conference, don't you think? MJ: Yes, especially since we're in the West. Maybe in a couple years we can go for the title... if we progress how we should. The team is extremely talented. It could be soon. MJ: Yes, yes.
I say one to two years... that's it. And of course we'll have to stay
