The Rockets on Thursday announced they are close to adding three players to their training camp roster, expecting to complete contracts with guard Ishmael Smith, center Jordan Eglseder and guard/forward Antonio Anderson, a person with knowledge of the deals said. Smith played for the Rockets’ summer league team, with general manager Daryl Morey announcing in Las Vegas, after Smith went 7-of-8 for 15 points and had six assists in the final summer league game, that the team would bring him back for training camp. Smith averaged 13.2 points and six assists for Wake Forest last season.
