The Timberwolves sold more than 6,000 individual game tickets since Thursday, according to spokesman Brad Ruiter, who also attributed most of 400 new season tickets sold since the All-Star break to Garnett. “We think we’ll sell most of our single-game tickets for the rest of the year,” T’wolves President Chris Wright said. “People want to see K.G. before he goes.”
General Manager John Hammond announced today that the Milwaukee Bucks have requested waivers on Chris Wright and Elijah Millsap. Wright, 26, appeared in eight games for the Bucks in 2013-14 and averaged 6.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He also played in 41 games for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League last season and earned an All-Star berth with his 19.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game. Wright did not appear in a 2014 preseason game for the Bucks.
Panathinaikos expressed interest in Wright but at the end of the day they decided to look for a more inside player. Wright received also a 200k offer from Besiktas but that deal fell through because the two sides did not reach an agreement on certain details. Right now Wright is still a free-agent and he’s waiting for the right offer to come.
