Now that the Las Vegas and Orlando Summer Leagues have concluded, CJ Aiken has decided to remain with the Kings for the short term. “They called my agent last week and said that they would like to sign me up until mini-camp and things like that,” he said. “We’ll see where it goes from there.” He will rejoin the Kings in Sacramento, CA. on September 1. “I think it’s going to be a good experience no matter what happens,” he said. “Just trying to have fun and learn things.”
The 6-foot-9, bulked-up 216-pounder has already worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, and the Washington Wizards. Aiken, who applied for the June 27 NBA draft after his junior campaign, is also scheduled to work out for the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.
