Former basketball star Frank L. Williams was sentenced to two years of probation Tuesday for possessing marijuana two years ago. Williams, 31, whose last address was listed in Vernon Hills, pleaded guilty in Peoria County Circuit Court to a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge. He was also fined $1,000, according to court records. A felony possession charge was dropped as part of the plea. Williams was placed on a type of probation that, if he abides by all the rules, will not result in a conviction.
