Ryan Reid RumorsAll NBA Players
Royce Young: OKC announces its summer league team. Of note: Cole Aldrich, Perry Jones III, Reggie Jackson, Lazar Hayward, Latavious Williams, Ryan Reid.
The Thunder have a full roster so to sign Fisher someone has to be cut. Who will it be? Probably Ryan Reid. The reason being that he can be bought out for cheap, re-sign with Tulsa for the rest of the D-League season and then OKC could choose to re-sign him over the summer if it so chooses. The question is: Who would have more value to the Thunder bench? Ryan Reid, or Derek Fisher?
Nick Collison: Today, the cycle continues. We make sure our rookies this season—Reggie Jackson and Ryan Reid—wear their pink Justin Bieber and “My Little Pony” backpacks and carry their oversized teddy bears on all road trips. Last year, Royal had Cole Aldrich’s car filled to the roof with packing peanuts. He says he went easy on him—it could have been buttered popcorn. Kendrick Perkins says in Boston they made a rookie go out in a foot of snow and do 100 pushups in only his spandex shorts.
The Oklahoma City Thunder has assigned forward Ryan Reid to the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Reid was originally signed by the Thunder on December 13, 2011, but has yet to appear in a regular-season game.
Oklahoma City Thunder reserve Ryan Reid will miss two to four weeks after having surgery to repair a broken nose. General manager Sam Presti said Wednesday that Reid had a successful procedure performed. The Thunder traded for Reid after he was chosen in the second round of the 2010 draft. He has yet to play in an NBA game, spending last season with Oklahoma City’s NBDL affiliate in Tulsa before making the NBA roster this season.
