Played college ball at Tennessee State until 1988. Selected by the Portland Trail Blazers as 53rd overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft. Played in Turkey in 1988-89. Signed as with the New Jersey Nets in 1989-90. Joined the Tulsa Fast Breakers of the CBA in 1990-91. Signed two consecutive 10-day contracts with the Denver Nuggets. Played for the Long Island Surf of the USBL later that season. Played in Venezuela before signing with the New York Knicks in 1991-92. Played in New York until 1995-96, when he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets. Played in Charlotte till 1999-00. Traded to the Miami Heat in 2000-01. Moved to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2001-02. Waived in October 2003. Named NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 1994-95. Selected to the All-NBA 3rd Team and NBA All-Defensive 2nd Team in 1996-97. Played the 2000-01 NBA All-Star Game.
