Attended the DeMatha Catholic HS.
Played college ball at Duke until 1989.
Selected by the Los Angeles Clippers as 2nd overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft.
Joined Virtus Roma (Italy) in 1989-90.
His draft rights were traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where played from 1990-91 to 1999-00.
Moved to the San Antonio Spurs in 2000.
Traded to the Indiana Pacers in July 2003. Was waived in September and inmediately named Spurs' director of basketball operations.
Named general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers in June 2005.
Named High School Player of the Year in 1985.
Named to the USA Today All-USA 1st Team in 1985.
