A great player from the fans' point of view... Was not that good for coaches... Played more under control late in his career... Still quite a flashy point guard... Outstanding passing skills... Nice shot off the dribble... Quick hands... Excellent in the open court... Good assists-per-turnover ratio... Gambled too much on defense... Got injured way too often.
Attended the DuPont HS.
Played college ball at Marshall and Florida till 1998.
Selected by the Sacramento Kings as 7th overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. Played in Sacramento till 2000-01.
Traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in June 2001.
Traded to the Miami Heat in August 2005.
Signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in August 2008.
Announced his retirement in September 2008.
Returned as a player with the Orlando Magic in August 2009.
Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team in 1996.
Named 2nd Team All-Southern Conference in 1996. Led the conference in assists.
Honorable mention All-SEC by AP in 1998.
Named to the NBA All-Rookie 1st Team in 1999.
