Played college ball at Georgetown from 2004 to 2007.
Selected by the Boston Celtics as 5th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Draft rights traded to the Seattle SuperSonics. Signed with the team in July. The team became the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer of 2008.
