Played college ball at Texas-El Paso until 1989.
Selected by the Golden State Warriors as 14th overall
pick in the 1989 NBA Draft.
Played in Golden State till February 1996, when he was
traded to the Miami Heat.
Played in Miami till 2000-01.
Traded to the Dallas Mavericks in August 2001.
Played in Dallas till February 2002, when he was traded
to the Denver Nuggets. Waived in June 2002.
Signed with the Indiana Pacers in March 2003. Played
there till the end of the season.
Played for the Waterloo Kings of the IBL in 2005.
Became president, general manager and co-owner of the
Miami Pit Bulls of the ABA in February 2005. Named head
coach in March. Also played for the team.
Won the Frances Pomeroy Naismith award in 1989.
Named MVP of the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament
in 1989.
Voted to the NBA All-Rookie 1st Team in 1989-90.
Selected to the All-NBA 1st Team in 1996-97.
Voted to the All-NBA 2nd Team in 1991-92, 1997-98 and
1998-99.
Selected to the All-NBA 3rd Team in 1992-93.
5 times selected to the NBA All-Star Game.
Won the gold medal at the Tournament of Americas with
the US Team in 1999.
Won the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games with the
US Team.
Had his number retired by the Miami Heat in October
2009.
