Grew up at Sloga (Serbia, then called Yugoslavia), where
he played from 1984 to 1986.
Moved to Partizan Belgrade (Serbia, then called Yugoslavia),
where he played from 1986 to 1989.
Selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 26th overall
pick in the 1989 NBA Draft.
Played with the Lakers from 1989-90 to 1995-96.
Traded in 1996-97 to the Charlotte Hornets, where he played
until 1997-98.
Joined Red Star Belgrade (Serbia, then called Yugoslavia)
during the 1998 lockout.
Signed with the Sacramento Kings in January 1999.
Returned to the Los Angeles Lakers in July 2004. Waived
in October 2005. Announced his retirement later that month
and became a scout for the Lakers.
Hired by Real Madrid (Spain) in September 2006.
Named president of the Serbian Olympic Committee in February
2009.
Selected to the NBA All-Rookie 2nd Team in 1989-90.
Played in the Euro All-Star in 1992 and 1994.
Won the 1985 World University Games, the 1989, 1991 and
1995 European Championship and the 1990, 1998 and 2002
World Championship with the Yugoslav National Team.
Won the silver medal in the 1988 and 1996 Olympic Games
with the Yugoslav National Team.
Selected to the 2000-01 NBA All-Star Game.
Had his number retired by the Sacramento Kings in March
2009.
