Though Rockets guard Chris Paul struggled against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, he said that was just part of his adjustment process and not a concern. Paul, who said he had no trouble with the bruised left shoulder that kept him out of Monday’s game in New York, made 3 of 12 shots with four turnovers in 31 minutes, but did have six assists. “Still learning, but having fun with it,” Paul said. “It’s a process, especially after missing the last game and practice. It’s coming along.”

Smith tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in August 2015, the summer before his senior year of high school. He experienced swelling in the knee after shootaround Friday, and the decision was made to not start him less than an hour before the game.
