Pelicans add Bo McCalebb

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has guard Bo McCalebb. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. McCalebb, 6-0, 183, most recently played for Bayern Munich of the BBL in Germany. Undrafted in 2008, McCalebb is a seven-year veteran in Europe, playing in Turkey, Serbia and Italy, in addition to Germany. McCalebb’s professional highlights include five league championships, two All-Euroleague Second Team selections (2010, 2012), two Italian League Finals MVP awards (2011, 2012), the 2010 Serbian League Finals MVP, the 2012 Italian League MVP and the 2012 Alphonso Ford Trophy – awarded to the Euroleague’s scoring champion.

Tim MacMahon: A source said C Jaleel Cousins, DeMarcus’ younger brother, is expected to join the D-League Texas Legends if he clears waivers following his release from the Mavs. All of the Mavs’ cuts are open to joining the team’s D-League affiliate with the exception of G Kyle Collinsworth, who plans to play overseas. However, there is a decent possibility that final cut Jonathan Gibson gets claimed by another NBA team.

She also is working as a legal assistant for BDA Sports, an agency that represents her brothers. Despite being back home now in San Jose, she says she’s “always here to help” her brother, who now has a “strong foundation.” “Although we are no longer living together and I am taking more of a long-distance position, we’re still in close contact and I’m still working with the agency,” Elise Gordon said. “The time we spent together provided us both with an amazing experience and our personal relationship has never been stronger.”
