It’s been a busy few weeks for ESPN on the NBA front. The network revamped its NBA show, ESPN Countdown, and sources also say ESPN tried to hire Yahoo NBA columnist Adrian Wojnarowski to beef up its basketball reporting. (He’s not the first Yahoo writer ESPN has tried to acquire – 11 months ago, the WWL nearly poached Charles Robinson.) A source says Wojnarowski decided to stay at Yahoo. Ray Allen is indeed in Miami talking over a possible deal to sign with the Heat, but the contract's far from signed. Don't tell Miami's Fox affiliate WSVN that, though, as they interrupted tonight's newscast to deliver the breaking news that Allen had signed a three-year, $11 million contract. They credited Yahoo! Sports with the news, which is funny because Yahoo! Sports didn't report anything of the sort. A fake Adrian Wojnarowski Twitter account did, though, and WSVN ran with it. Don't say faux Twitter accounts never accomplished anything. Deadspin.com
