The Oklahoma City Thunder has assigned forward Andre Roberson to the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Roberson has appeared in 16 games (four starts) for the Thunder this season, averaging 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game. NBA.com

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Andre Roberson for 80 percent of the rookie scale in a move to avoid paying the luxury tax. Roberson was the No. 26 overall pick in June's NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and was later traded to the Thunder. SB Nation

He made an impression at a New Jersey draft combine in late May and has earned a few more looks from NBA teams. Colorado's star forward won't make a decision on whether to return for his senior year or declare himself eligible for the NBA draft until after the 2012-13 season ends.
