Bogut played just six of his 20 minutes in the first half. He finished the game with just six rebounds and two points and did not block a shot. Asked how he was feeling the day after, Bogut was brief. "Pretty good," he said. Asked a follow-up about whether the ankle was causing him problems during the game, he said, "No, it's fine. It'll be all right." San Jose Mercury-News

Like Duncan on Monday, Parker toed the company line on a late possession where Golden State kept the ball even after it deflected off Golden State center Andrew Bogut. (For those of you who don’t read Mike Monroe’s dispatch on our new pay site, Express-News.com, an NBA spokesman acknowledged the missed call yesterday but said the play was not reviewable by rule.) Said Parker: “It’s OK. Stuff’s going to happen. I know the referees try to do the best job they can to make the right call. We didn’t lose the game right there.” San Antonio Express-News

The Spurs again opted to intentionally foul Warriors center Andrew Bogut, a 50 percent free thrower during the regular season, during Game 4, but were only able to do so once. He made one of his two foul shots. When they tried to foul Bogut a second time late in the third period, the Warriors called time out before Parker could grab him. Bogut, who insists he has no problem with Popovich's use of the tactic, just smiled when asked if he enjoyed watching the Spurs miss 11 of their 25 free throws in Game 4, shooting a season-low 56 percent. “I don't think I'll go there,” he said, grinning. The Golden State centre is much more positive now, after helping the Warriors to the second round of the play-offs, where they are 1-1 in a best-of-seven series with San Antonio. But the 28-year-old admits his earlier injury struggles took a severe mental toll and prompted retirement thoughts. "It was definitely (something) I started to think about," Bogut told the NBA.com website. "I never got to a point where I thought 'This is it. I'm done'. But I thought 'If this goes on for a year or two, there's definitely a chance that I think about that'. "I was really bad. The physical part of it is one thing, but the mental part of it is the other. "It was a tough time in my career." ninemsn

Warriors coach Mark Jackson with a hard takedown of Monta Ellis. Jackson was asked Thursday how trading Ellis to the Bucks in March 2012 not only brought Andrew Bogut in return as the inside presence the Warriors had long desired but also created a clear path for Klay Thompson to blossom at shooting guard. Jackson's response: “It helped change the culture. Obviously it was easier to pull the trigger because we knew what we had in Klay and it was time for him to be a starting two-guard. And he does everything right.” How did that trade change the culture? Jackson paused four seconds. "It helped change the culture," he finally said. Anything specific? “You know.” Sulia

“Yesterday was a bitch of a day for us,” center Andrew Bogut said of the reflection time between Games 1 and 2. “We didn’t enjoy it. It was a dog day for us. But we forgot about it today, came to the game with a focus.” San Jose Mercury-News

Nuggets center JaVale McGee promises not to let Golden State's 7-foot bruiser, Andrew Bogut, get to him. The two had a dust-up in Game 3, which resulted in a technical foul for Bogut, during which McGee said Bogut tried to provoke him: "He told me to punch him in the chin. That was idiotic. I'm never going to tell someone to punch me in the chin." This series has been an exercise in patience for McGee — and most of the other bigs on the Nuggets' roster. The minute Golden State's David Lee was injured, the complexion of the series changed from one the entire team could love to one where small ball is severely cutting into the time of Nuggets' post players. So McGee's time on the court at the same time as Bogut's, which was endangered because Bogut starts and McGee comes in as a reserve, is even shorter. Denver Post

Warriors C Andrew Bogut said he's never played in an atmosphere like Game 3 in Oracle Arena, but he has a suggestion: "Let's take out the seats and get 25,000 in here. You don't need 'em. They didn't sit in 'em for most of the night, anyway." Sulia
