HoopsHype Antawn Jamison rumors

"It tells the story of Blake's actual profession, which is what he wanted," said Jared Brunk, one of 0ne0f0ne's main team members. "He wanted it to resemble who he is, where he's from, what he does and kind of his path along the way, which landed him in Los Angeles. A lot of the players want to represent where they're from and they want to kind of tell their life story, which I think is really cool because then it means something to them, and it's personal and it's a good piece for discussion." 0ne0f0ne also manufactures custom furniture and leather items, including wallets, and many players—Griffin, Wade, Jordan, Wright, Ariza, Chris Paul, Matt Barnes and Antawn Jamison—have asked for signature pieces. Some want personal logos, like Wade with his Way of Wade logo; others ask for a non-personal patterns, like Jordan showcasing his favorite superhero, Batman. Bleacher Report

The Knicks also will have interest in proven veterans who were recently bought out, including Earl Clark, Ben Gordon and Antawn Jamison. Glen Davis has agreed to sign with the Clippers. Because of the luxury-tax penalties and the fact owner James Dolan is already paying 17 players this season, the Knicks may only sign one player. New York Post

Harrington doesn’t have a specific timetable for his return but he doesn’t expect to be sidelined much longer. “I can guarantee I’m going to play some time after All-Star break,” Harrington said with a hearty laugh. “That’s for sure. I just don’t know which game. We haven’t really talked about a target game, but some time soon after that." Washington Post

The issue is compounded by the fact the closest semblance to a stretch 4 on the roster is 35-year-old Antawn Jamison, who is shooting a career low 20 percent (8-for-40) from three-point range. Perhaps that’s why one league source with unique insight into the Clippers organization does expect them to make a blockbuster deal before the February trade deadline. That assumes Rivers has the ability and the desire to convince Sterling such a move is necessary. Rivers did joke, in his lambasting of the report, that he had not bothered to talk to Griffin about it because, "If I do pull him aside, I'm probably not telling him the truth." Bleacher Report

Jamison is just five points shy of 20,000 in his career. Sometime this week, perhaps even tonight in Philadelphia, he will become one of only 20 players in NBA history to reach 20,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists. Out of the previous 19 players to hit those numbers, only Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki are active and of the 16 other players to do so only Shaquille O’Neal, who retired two years ago, has yet to be enshrined in the hall of fame. David Aldridge: Who polices the locker room? CP: Oh, man, it's a little bit of everybody. A little bit of everybody. We really have a team. I think two of the people on our team that people don't talk about much, but have two of the biggest voices -- whenever they say something, everybody listens -- is Willie Green and Antawn Jamison. Those guys don't play much, haven't played in a few games, but they work hard, and they pay attention to everything. NBA.com
