Wiggins, the No. 1 overall pick last June, deftly danced around questions about his future when he returned to his hometown of Vaughan, Ont., last week to shoot a commercial. It was Bennett’s turn Monday as he attended the opening day of the NBA Americas Team camp. “We’ve been going back and forth a lot,” Bennett said. “I know he’s busy so I don’t really try to hit him up too much. But he said he’s working too. So there’s not much we can do, you know.” Any worries about being dealt? “I’m just a young man that’s ready to work,” he said. “Wherever I end up, it doesn’t really matter to me. I just want to play basketball.” Toronto Star

The agreement would send Love to Cleveland for 2014 No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round pick. But the deal cannot be consummated until a 30-day moratorium on Cleveland's ability to trade Wiggins has expired. Simply put, the terms of the trade can be re-examined in the meantime, or either side could decide not to finalize the deal, league sources said. The whole scenario erected a tightrope between Cleveland and Minneapolis that both teams will have to walk for 16 days. Neither team was confirming the arrangement Thursday, for fear of reprisal from the league office over the 30-day rule, sources said. CBSSports.com

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement in principle to send All-Star forward Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Cleveland is making the deal with Minnesota with a firm agreement Love will opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with the Cavaliers on a five-year, $120 million-plus contract extension, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Brian Windhorst: "Oh, it's got traction, it's got traction. The deal is done but not done. The teams have agreed but they can't say they've agreed and they can't agree because we're in this weird moratorium period. Because you can't trade Andrew Wiggins until the 23rd of this month. So, between now and then which is what, 19 days? Could something happen? Could a team come in with a trade that maybe Minnesota see? Yes, it could happen, so therefore it is not done. ESPN.com

But essentially, before the papers have been signed there is this handshake agreement that Kevin Love to the Cavs, Andrew Wiggins to the Timberwolves, and I believe Thaddeus Young will end up in Minnesota either as part of a separate deal or as part of a three-way deal. Possibly Anthony Bennett, who is on the Cavs right now, could be rerouted to Philadelphia in part of a deal for Thaddeus Young; there will be draft picks involved. But essentially, what you need to know if you're an NBA fan, Kevin Love is gonna be on the Cavs, barring anything unforeseen, and Andrew Wiggins, the No.1 pick, is going to be in Minnesota. ESPN.com

The Sixers’ Thaddeus Young is also a piece to the puzzle, according to Windhorst, who sees the multi-faceted forward winding up in Minnesota, either as part of a separate deal, or as part of the larger Love deal. The exact details of what the Sixers would be receiving in such a deal are not known, but Windhorst mentioned Anthony Bennett possibily being re-routed to Philadelphia as part of a Thad Young deal. He also stated that draft picks will be involved. Philadelphia Inquirer
