Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was carried off the court after sustaining a back injury early in the third quarter of Portland’s game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. The team announced that Aldridge sustained a back contusion and that he would not return to the game. Aldridge was driving the basket when he ran into Spurs center Aron Baynes and landed on his back. The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled center Aron Baynes from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League. Baynes, who recently made his fifth stint with the Toros this season, has appeared in 11 games with Austin, averaging 13.9 points and 8.7 rebounds in 26.9 minutes. This past weekend, the center averaged 21.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in two starts against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. NBA.com
