HoopsHype Ater Majok rumors
The Los Angeles Lakers have flown in center Ater Majok -- their 58th overall draft pick in 2011 -- from China for a couple days of workouts with the team, league sources told RealGM. RealGM
The tour, presented by Self Motivated Athletic Agency and Care 2 Play Sports will span from June 4 until June 15 over six different cities throughout China. In addition to McGrady, Payton, Williams and Carr, former Lakers second round pick Ater Majok and Tulsa 66ers wing Dominique Sutton will join the tour. SLAM
We’ll be honest, we were not big fans of the Lakers taking Ater Majok late in the second round. Yes, he is long (7’7″ wingspan) and athletic, but he’s not done well in organized ball. He spent one season at UConn and is now playing professionally in Australia. But long and athletic can be fun at legendary Rucker Park in New York. Which is where InsideHoops found him, having some fun at the Entertainers Basketball Classic. He wasn’t that impressive, but he did block some shots and threw down one huge dunk. So here that is. Enjoy. NBCSports.com
