Bradley hit one of his first six shots and never found a groove, shooting 3-for-10 with 1-for-6 from 3-point range and scoring seven points. Considering how he can stoke this offense with early baskets, the timing couldn’t have been worse. “They made it tough on me,” Bradley said of Cleveland’s defense. “I have to come out the next game and find ways to get myself easier shots. They did a good job trying to make it tough on me. At the same time, I took some shots I usually make, and tonight I wasn’t knocking them down. I have to shoot better, and I know I will Tuesday.” Boston Herald

As a small group of reporters gathered around, waiting only to ask how it felt to play his first game back in Boston, Jeff Green buttoned his shirt and left without saying a word, sucking the air out of a Garden locker room for the final time this season. Across the hallway, a larger media contingent circled Avery Bradley, one of many Celtics heroes on the night. “We’re like a family out there,” he said after scoring a team-high 17 points -- including the dagger with 7.9 seconds left -- in a 95-92 upset of Green’s Grizzlies. “We’re a lot closer than we were, and it shows on the court.” WEEI.com

As expected, Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley will not join the Celtics for their final road game at Miami on Monday. But he is progressing to the point where a return to action appears to be sooner rather than later. “Avery feels better,” Boston head coach Brad Stevens told reporters. “From everything the doctor has said to him, we’re shooting for Wednesday to play. He will not join us on this trip.” CSNNE.com
