As it’s rumored almost for a week, Valencia has made an offer to Nemanja Nedovic, but an other Spanish team entered the race in order to sign the Serbian guard. According to Eurohoops sources Laboral Kutxa also made its move for the player and his fate seems to be tied with Thomas Heurtel. After being cut by the Warriors, Nedovic has to clear weavers in order to sign with a European team and as he said to Serbian newspaper “Novosti” he would like to return to Europe in order to get minutes on the court, despite having the dream to play in the NBA. There have been reports about NBA interest towards him, specially by Utah, but there’s nothing imminent on the table. EuroHoops.net

According to sources with knowledge of the person calling the shots in Baskonia, Gomes, who registered three DNPs in the Spanish ACB League, was ordered to sit out in favor of president’s Josean Querejeta underachieving signing Kim Tillie, who agreed to join Vitoria months before Crespi was hired. Baskonia, in case you wondered, are seed No. 15 with a poor 1-3 record. Whispers around Baskonia indicate that Querejeta pulls the strings, urging his coaching staff to provide extensive game-time for “his guys on multi-year contracts,” said the source — after his previous grossly overpaid signings Devon Van Oostrum, Walter Hodge and Adam Hanga were given significant checks to play for other squads this summer. Former Indiana Pacers shooting guard Orlando Johnson, sources say, is also on his way toward terminating his Spanish agreement. The former 2012 NBA draftee, averages six points on 16.7 percent shooting from the perimeter, and 1.8 rebounds in 19 minutes per game. Basketball Insiders

The one-month contract for big man D.J. White expires next week, after the club failed to buyout another underachieving previous signing, Lamont Hamilton, as expected, due to his exorbitant contract. Over the weekend, White went scoreless in three minutes of action in a loss to Greek club Olympiacos, and then was not registered in the ACB due to Hamilton’s presence. Basketball Insiders

As for where he stands with the Spurs, Bertans expects he’ll be making the leap to the NBA sometime in the next two seasons. “I think they count on me as a player in the next two years.” Bertans said the Spurs were supportive of him signing with Baskonia because they’ve had a respectable relationship with the club before, when Tiago Splitter played there, while they’re also monitoring 2011 draftee Adam Hanga currently in Baskonia. Bertans also stated that his contract with Baskonia has an NBA-opt out after each season. ProjectSpurs.com

An international report emerged over the weekend that claimed the Thunder is attempting to bring Tibor Pleiss to Oklahoma City next season and has entered into buyout negotiations to finally sign the 2010 second-round pick. That is not the case, The Oklahoman has learned. Pleiss, a 7-foot-1 center who was the 32nd overall pick in 2010, likely will remain overseas for at least one more season. It’s not out of the question that the Thunder might pursue Pleiss as the summer progresses, but it is currently a remote possibility given the team’s current roster structure. Oklahoman
