It still remains possible that Brad Jones could be promoted from his position as Jazz's director of player development to full-time assistant coach. The Austin Toros, NBA Development League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs, have named Brad Jones as head coach for the upcoming D-League season. Jones had been the head coach for the Utah Flash the past three seasons but will now take over in Austin for Quin Snyder, who has been added to the Philadelphia 76ers coaching staff. "We are excited to have Brad join our organization," RC Buford, president of sports franchises for Spurs Sports and Entertainment, said in a press release announcing the hiring. "We are confident that Brad will provide outstanding leadership and instruction for the Toros players. His coaching style will provide our fans with an outstanding experience while still focusing on the Toros main mission, which is player development." FanHouse.com
