The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has re-signed forward Chase Budinger. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. "We are excited that Chase has decided to make Minnesota his home next season and beyond," said Flip Saunders, Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations. "We made bringing back Chase a priority because of his shooting ability, athleticism and his familiarity with Coach Adelman's system. We look forward to watching his continued development in a Wolves uniform." NBA.com

Free-agent forward Chase Budinger has reached agreement on a three-year, $16 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Budinger, a 6-foot-7 forward, returns to a strong core with the Wolves that includes Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. The third year of the deal will be a player option, a source said. Yahoo! Sports

Despite missing most of the season with surgery to repair torn cartilage in his knee, Minnesota Timberwolves free- agent forward Chase Budinger is emerging as a significant target for several teams, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans have made his signing a priority, and several teams have secondary interest, including Utah, Indiana and Memphis, front-office sources told Y! The T'wolves and Pelicans need his shooting, and plan to be aggressive suitors for Budinger, league sources said. Milwaukee has wavered on re-signing guard J.J. Redick, sources said, and Budinger could be a less-expensive, but efficient, alternative. Yahoo! Sports

Meet with unrestricted free agent Chase Budinger. The Wolves have Budinger's Bird Rights. In other words, they can go over the salary cap to retain him. He's a big priority and a favorite of coach Rick Adelman. Budinger makes his offseason home in San Diego. KSTP
