The NBA sent out a news release last week saying, "Miss Fanatic, a fashion-forward women’s apparel company, has teamed up with the National Basketball Association to launch a new product line designed exclusively for women." What most people don't know is that "Miss Fanatic" is Tiffany Pearl, Orlando Magic dancer (2012-2013) and former cheer captain for the Miami Dolphins (2005 to 2010). ESPN.com

An Atlanta Hawks cheerleader was removed from the court on a stretcher after falling and hitting her head and neck during Monday night’s game. The Hawks were hosting the Dallas Mavericks at Philips Arena when the incident occurred. There was a brief delay in action between the third and fourth quarters after the cheerleader slipped and was injured during a routine. Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Jamie Woode, the Orlando Magic Stunt Team performer who fractured three vertebrae and broke one rib in a frightening on-court accident Nov. 13 at Amway Center, said Friday her recovery is going well and she would "love to" to return to cheerleading once she completes her rehabilitation. Woode, 31, underwent surgery to repair her broken vertebrae, and although she is wearing a brace to stabilize her back, she is walking and moving without much difficulty. Orlando Sentinel

Magic spokesman Joel Glass said the Stunt Team, a group of independent contractors, are expected to continue to perform occasionally at Magic games. Jamie Woode, a member of the Orlando Magic's stunt team, fell from the arms of a male teammate during a routine in Tuesday night's game against the New York Knicks. The game was stopped for about 10 minutes between the first and second quarter as Woode was wheeled off the court on a stretcher. As she left the court, she waved her arms to the crowd.
