Danny Granger traveled while trying to get off a three-pointer near the end of last night’s Orlando – Indiana game. The Magic held on. Chris Duhon, who was watching from the bench celebrated with a travel dance. I propose Duhon perform this dance whenever an opponent travels. He would get to do it once a month. Because they never call traveling the NBA. Get it? The Big Lead

During the final seconds of Orlando's 81-77 Game 1 victory over Indiana, Pacers forward Danny Granger lined up to attempt a game-tying 3-pointer. Before he gathered to shoot, he happened to shuffle his feet. An official took note and whistled Granger for the ultra-rare late-game travelling violation. Duhon, meanwhile, couldn't control his glee and was caught on camera celebrating the violation by rotating his hands over each other, mimicking the official hand signal for travelling, and bouncing up and down while bending at the knees. It was immediately dubbed the "travel dance" on Twitter. CBSSports.com

Stan Van Gundy made a surprising change to his rotation in Sunday night’s 100-84 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, electing to use Chris Duhon instead of Ish Smith as the backup to Jameer Nelson. The move caught many Magic fans off guard. Smith has become something of a cult hero in Central Florida. Many fans think he creates better for teammates and handles the basketball better. There’s no question he plays at a faster pace than Duhon. I asked Van Gundy why he made the switch after the game. “I loved the way that Ish had played,” Van Gundy said. “He still may play a role here. When we’re struggling, I wanted to go back to veteran guys. I think Ish penetrates the ball very well — maybe better than Chris right now — but I think we get better organization on the floor with Chris, which helps the other guys play well.” Orlando Sentinel

Could the Orlando Magic have been hurting from the night before during their 108-86 beating by the Knicks on Wednesday? The previous night, sources spotted the Magic’s Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Jason Richardson partying until the early hours. They started out dining in the private wine room of Philippe New York. Then the pair joined Dwight Howard — who got a shout-out from the DJ on the loudspeaker, spies said — Chris Duhon and Quentin Richardson at Greenhouse during R&B singer Dawn Richard’s EP release party. The players were seen ordering bottles of Champagne and raged in the club until around 3 a.m. New York Post
