One thing about Marcus Morris became evident at the Utah Jazz's pre-draft workout Sunday. The Kansas junior is a straight shooter. And that has nothing to do with his actual shooting capabilities. Whether admitting he believes fellow workout participant Chris Singleton is "not very talented" on the offensive end or speaking about his own talents, the highly regarded 21-year- old forward says it like he sees it. "Honestly, I think I'm the most complete player in the draft," the 6-9 Morris said. "I think I'm one of those guys that can just do a lot. (There are) lots of parts of my game I can hang my hat on." Every year, the NBA tips its hand as to who it believes are the top 14 or 15 prospects in the draft with its annual "green room" invitations. These players are invited by the league to sit in a special room with their families and agent on draft night. When their names are called, they leave the room and go up on stage to shake commissioner David Stern's hand. This year's invitees to the June 23 draft: Kyrie Irving (Duke); Derrick Williams (Arizona); Enes Kanter (Turkey); Brandon Knight (Kentucky); Kemba Walker (UConn); Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania); Jan Vesely (Czech Republic); Kawhi Leonard (San Diego St.); Chris Singleton (Florida St.); Klay Thompson (Washington St.); Tristan Thompson (Texas); Jimmer Fredette (BYU); Marcus Morris (Kansas); and Alec Burks (Colorado). A 15th name has been added -- Markieff Morris of Kansas. Markieff is Marcus Morris' twin and also widely considered to be a top 20 draft pick. ESPN.com

I think Brooks is definitely among the players who have impressed the Bobcats. I think Florida State's Chris Singleton and Southern California big man Nikola Vucevic have also caught their fancy. Charlotte Observer

Singleton defended so well against one of the draft class' best scorers, Jordan Hamilton of Texas, in the workout that he was ready to seek out established competition. Namely, Thornton - a top-notch scorer who is also from Florida State. "I'm from Atlanta, so I'm not scared of anybody. I'm going to bring that toughness to whatever team drafts me," he said. "I feel like I'm the modern-day Scottie Pippen. I feel like I can do it all: pass, shoot, dribble and play defense." San Francisco Chronicle

When asked if his game is reminiscent of any players, past or present, Singleton didn't hesitate. A grin crept across his face and he replied, "Just like I have been telling reporters and NBA teams, I feel like I'm the modern-day (Scottie) Pippen. I feel like I can do it all: pass, shoot, dribble, and play defense. I mean, I think I'm the perfect guy in any system you put me in and I'm just ready to take on the challenges." HoopsWorld

Is Florida State’s top player making an early jump to the NBA? Forward Chris Singleton, who led the Seminoles in scoring (13.1) and rebounding (6.8) this season, is expected to announce his decision Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET on Ustream.com. But it seems FSU officials have jumped the gun. The school released an email to the media late Tuesday night regarding Singleton. The last paragraph states: "Singleton, who is going to finish the semester academically, will be only 24 credit hours shy of earning his degree in interdisciplinary social studies. He has committed to earning six of those hours in the first session of summer school and will begin his professional career well in reach of earning his degree. Singleton has plans to return to school -- and has promised his mother -- that he will earn his degree from Florida State." FOXSports Florida
