The Miami Heat star has released a song with fellow artist Yomo called "Se va Conmigo" and is enjoying success on the reggaeton charts. "It's my hobby, but like my wife said, at first it's a hobby and now you're doing music videos," Arroyo said. "It's a different satisfaction that I get out of it." The track has been listed among the topsellers in the Latin category on iTunes. FIBA.com
Now Arroyo is looking at music as a potential career when he ends his basketball playing days. "I'll definitely do some more," Arroyo said. "The people have embraced the song very well back home. I'll be honest, I'm really happy with what the song has done on iTunes. It's been a blessing. And I'm moving forward with this." Arroyo added that making music allows him to stay close to the culture of Puerto Rico. "Reggaeton is the music of my country," Arroyo said. "This is what the people my age are listening to, my people. It's what I listened to growing up. Music and basketball, it's a great mix. "I feel very fortunate that I can go to a national team game in Puerto Rico and on the way to the game I can hear myself on the radio. It's crazy. It's overwhelming. It's a blessing." FIBA.com
