Gallinari is a fan of Chandler's, and he has been since their days as New York Knicks. He believes Chandler will be a "key player" going forward. In the past 10 games, "Ill Wil" has averaged 15.6 points per game. He scored 21 against the Rockets Saturday. As for his own comeback, Gallo said: "I'm focused. I want to get surgery done and get back in the gym to come back stronger than before. It happened to me, but it's something that can happen to basketball players, and you just have to deal with it. So it just comes down to working and working." Denver Post Danilo Gallinari sat down with CBS4 in Denver to talk about his recent knee injury which resulted in a torn ACL and long upcoming recovery for the Denver Nuggets forward. Gallo says he can’t tolerate watching the replay, but recalls his ankle being stuck to the floor and his knee “just went somewhere else” on the play that ended his 2012-2013 season on April 4. After preliminary tests, Gallinari says he knew it was a serious injury because his left knee was “just dancing.” In good spirits, the Nuggets forward says he was more angry than upset and “still wants to punch somebody in the face”, and added “I don’t know who – but I want to punch somebody and make somebody suffer.” beyondthebuzzer.com |

![]() Danilo Gallinari torn his ACL and at once lost his chance to finish the NBA Season and to play Eurobasket 2013 in Slovenia with the Italian National Team. Gallinari will have surgery in a couple of weeks even if he has not decided yet where he will have the procedure. Il Gallo talked with La Gazzetta dello Sport about his last two difficult days. "After the injury I got several phone calls. Friday I had to charge my phone four times. But I replied to everyone" said Gallinari. "So far I just put ice on the knee and had electrical stimulation. Fortunately the knee is not swollen too much. I don't feel too much pain when I don't move it. Mentally I am ok. I am already focused on the surgery. I look forward to start working again on it after the procedure. I still don't know where I will have surgery. Steadman in Vail is an option but I did not rule out the chance to have surgery in Italy. Sportando Danilo Gallinari: National Team? This is another topic that makes me sad. I've thought a lot about the National Team over the last two days. I was convinced that we could do a great Eurobasket in September. This season I was doing my best because I knew that it would happen something great both with the Nuggets and Italian National Team. I was very happy to make the playoffs in NBA. I felt that this was the right season. Sportando |
