Exum was the only player in our top six not to do some sort of workout for NBA GMs and scouts. Sources say the Bucks got to visit with him in L.A., but it wasn't in a workout setting. But that doesn't seem to be hurting Exum's stock at all. As Kevin Pelton and I pointed out, not only is Exum a sleeper on many draft boards, but the analytics say he might be the second-best player in the draft. The Bucks are very high on him, and contrary to the ongoing storyline that no one wants to play for the Bucks, they are having Exum in for a visit and workout. The Sixers and Magic also are fans of Exum, so I don't think he slides past the Jazz at No. 5. ESPN.com

The Milwaukee Bucks are big fans of Exum. Although they like Brandon Knight, they think he's better suited to play the 2-guard and think the combo of Exum and Knight together could be potent. The big question is whether he's a better option than Embiid or Parker. Parker would give them a go-to scorer, while the team thinks strongly that Embiid would be a great fit next to Larry Sanders on the front line. If Milwaukee management had more job security, I think Exum would be its guy. But he might be too big a risk given that new ownership just took control of the team. Twitter @AdamZagoria

I’ve spoken to a few close friends who are very well respected in the coaching ranks in Australia who know the Exum family well, one at the Australian Institute of Sport and the other at St. Mary’s University. The main debate on the Exum family’s mind from the beginning of the process has been whether or not to send Dante to college. Both coaches I spoke to advised the family that Dante could benefit from a year of college but with his stock as high as it is and the novelty syndrome set in motion in the minds of NBA GMs, it was a no brainer: Dante had to declare. Strike while the iron is hot. But to say that Dante is a finished product and ready to contribute at a high level for an NBA franchise right from the start, well that might be a little bit of a stretch. HoopsHype

Many NBA execs also question what position he will play. Exum fancies himself as a combination of Manu Ginobli and yes, Westbrook. Throw in the body type of Michael Carter-Williams and you’ve got Dante Exum. Interesting combination to say the least, but what stands out in that mixture isn’t as much pure point guard as it is ‘playmaker.’ I think this is where a lot of scouts and execs get misled, why does a player necessarily have to be a pure point guard? A quick survey of several mock Drafts posted in the wake of Tuesday's Lottery reveals a consensus, of sorts, regarding whom Orlando will select with the fourth overall pick. All five mocks featured here peg Australian combo guard Dante Exum as the Magic's man. Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress, Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com, Ricky O'Donnell of SB Nation, Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, and Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports all agree that Exum will slip to the Magic at no. 4, and that Orlando won't let him drop any further. "Exum is a bit of an enigma given he hasn't been seen extensively since last summer, but Orlando assistant GM Matt Lloyd was one of the few high level executives who actually were in attendance to scout him last summer in Prague at the U19 World Championship," writes Givony. Citing "our sources," he says the Magic have done more research into Exum's "background" than any other team has. Orlandoinstripedpost.com

I’ve only chatted with Exum a couple of times and same with his dad, Cecil Exum, who is a highly respected person within basketball in Victoria, my home state. Each time I’ve walked away (or hung up the phone) believing Exum has a good head on his shoulders, a great family behind him and a strong heart in his chest. HoopsAddict.com

Word from the Draft Combine was that Jabari Parker and Dante Exum were the top two candidates for the Bucks and both may be there when the Bucks select at number two. There is a sense that new ownership in Milwaukee is going to have a lot of say in where this pick gets used and as much as the current management may want to go with Exum and set them up going forward, there may be a desire from ownership to pick a named guy that the fans can connect with.
