The former New Mexico star would later re-sign with the team before this season, but he became a victim of numbers game and was released after making only five brief appearances. Long story short, Hobson went back home to Las Vegas to rehab, and now—with his hip back at 100%–he feels ready to contribute to an NBA team. “The hip is fine,” Hobson told HOOPSWORLD. “Fully recovered. I say like March this year is when I started to notice a big difference. I was supposed to be fully healed probably in April. So I was ahead of the game as far as how I was feeling.” HoopsWorld

The Bucks released guard Darington Hobson on Friday morning, bringing their roster to 14 players, one shy of the league maximum. But coach Scott Skiles said no move was imminent to fill the empty roster spot. "We're always looking but it's not, right at this moment, leading to anything," Skiles said after the morning shoot-around at the Palace of Auburn Hills. "It's just a decision we made and it does free up a roster spot. "But as of today it doesn't have any relevance on any other move." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

The Bucks announced Thursday they have assigned rookie guard Darington Hobson to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League. Fort Wayne is coached by former DePaul coach Joey Meyer. Rookies Tobias Harris and Jon Leuer and free agent Darington Hobson also sat out while waiting to get deals signed. Later Friday the Bucks completed the trade with Boston sending veteran guard Keyon Dooling and a protected second-round 2012 pick to the Celtics. The Bucks received the rights to Spanish forward-center Albert Miralles, but he was merely a piece in the trade and not a candidate to join the team. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Unrestricted free agent Darington Hobson has been working out at the Milwaukee Bucks’ facility in recent days as he weighs his training camp options. The Bucks selected Hobson with the 37th overall pick in last year’s draft, but waived him due to a hip injury. Now, Hobson is healthy and the Bucks still like him so don’t be surprised if he ends up on their training camp roster. HoopsWorld

After undergoing two hip surgeries last year, Darington Hobson is nearly finished with his rehab and ready to return to the court. While he hasn't been able to resume basketball activities just yet, he has been able to put up shots and strengthen his hips. "Right now, I'm just getting shots up," Hobson told HOOPSWORLD. "It feels better, but there's still a little bit of soreness. The doctor said that's expected and that I should be close to 100 percent by the end of August. By October, I should be able to play full speed." HoopsWorld

Now, Hobson is an unrestricted free agent, but hopes to re-sign with the Bucks once the lockout comes to an end. "They've shown me a lot of loyalty and have a lot of faith in me and my abilities," Hobson said. "That's the place I want to be. If it all turns out right, hopefully I'll be here. At the end of the day, I don't think Milwaukee would have drafted someone that they didn't want. My job right now is to get completely healthy so that when training camp does start, I'll be ready to come in and compete for a job." HoopsWorld

Darington Hobson, whom the Bucks drafted in the second round last season before being released because of hip issues, may rejoin the team. Stu Lash, Hobson's agent, said his client will seriously consider re-signing with the Bucks this summer, depending on a lockout. "We have no malice or animosity toward the Bucks,'' Lash said. "They have been very good to Darington. And Daring likes it there. "We got to do our due diligence and find out if it's the right fit for the Bucks and for us.'' Racine Journal-Times
