This really is not news; in fact if you re-wind to 2010 in Chicago, similar commentary was coming out of the Bulls locker room. The good news for the Clippers is that they have two qualified coaches on their staff already – the first is Marc Iavaroni who coached the Grizzlies for two seasons. The second is Dean Demopoulos a long time assistant that has been mentioned as a head coaching candidate for several years. HoopsWorld |

Former Trail Blazers assistant coach Dean Demopoulos joined me on the Bald Faced Truth radio show on 750-AM (3-6 p.m. on 750-AM). He called into the show from the Clippers bus as it pulled away from PDX on the way to the team hotel (Blazers-Clippers on Tuesday at the Rose Garden Arena.) Demopoulos talked about his time in Portland, which ended after the Blazers won the division and made a playoff run. Said Demopoulos: "In coaching business, you're hired to be fired. I was out of my element. I was in a free fall. There was nothing to grab onto." Oregonian |
