Bad boy Hall of Fame basketball player Dennis Rodman told ESPN that he became “unhirable” when he stopped drinking eight years ago — but his agent, Darren Prince, insists otherwise. Rodman had told ESPN’s Mark Schwarz on Sunday that people in the NBA “wouldn’t touch me” when he was sober: “I was boring,” Rodman moaned. But Prince tells Page Six that Rodman, who makes a living in large part by hosting nightclub parties, had scored plenty of work sober, including his first ad during the Super Bowl in 2005. “Even in his prime with the Chicago Bulls in the mid-’90’s, he never had a Super Bowl commercial,” Prince explained. New York Post Rodman’s drinking, said Prince, has “sabotaged” opportunities for him — from commentator gigs on sports networks to television appearances after the tattooed and pierced athlete appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2009, where he was fired after he drank on the job. “I know if he got sober, he could get a coaching job. He could be a rebounding coach, possibly work in the front office,” Prince said, adding, “We’ve had many discussions with TNT and others, and they all say the same thing — he’s too risky, because they don’t know if he’s going to show up drunk or not show up at all.” New York Post |

![]() ESPN's "Outside the Lines" today ran an in-depth interview with Rodman on his lifestyle as a retired basketball player, which many, including Rodman, would still consider reckless. "If you look at everything that I'm doing, it's nothing good. It's always bad," Rodman said in the interview. Detroit Free Press According to court papers, Rodman owes over $800,000 in child support to his now ex-wife, Michelle. In December, a judge trimmed Rodman's $50,000 a month payments down to $5,000 because Rodman and his attorney successfully argued that the former NBAer was both broke and sick. However, Rodman's agent said his earning power can be up to a $1 million a year and, despite Rodman's battle with alcoholism, he is relatively healthy. Detroit Free Press |

![]() Dennis Rodman sat down with the “Today Show” to set the record straight on his personal life. In the interview, the Basketball Hall of Famer disputed reports that emerged two weeks ago stating that he was broke and sick, saying he’s neither. “I’m not a deadbeat dad,” Rodman said. “Yeah, I pay child support. I’m not one of the guys that made Michael Jordan money or Scottie Pippen money. I made a decent living in the NBA, but broke? I’m not broke,” he says. Yardbarker.com Asked about having a drinking problem, Rodman disputed that, too. “I’m not sick, man. People have had those allegations about me since 1995. ‘Dennis parties a lot, Dennis does this.’ I’m going to do what I do. I’ve proved people wrong from day one, I’m still proving people wrong that the fact that I’m still loving it.” “I feel good. I’m 50 years old, I do go out and have a good time, and most of the things I do is based on appearances around the world.” Rodman also says he’s unlikely to suffer a similar fate to recently deceased stars like Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse because he does not do cocaine. “I never even tried cocaine. I never even came near cocaine,” he states. Yardbarker.com The allegations that Rodman is sick came from his finance manager, Peggy Williams. “In all honesty, Dennis, although a very sweet person, is an alcoholic,” Williams said. “His sickness impacts his ability to get work. This case, especially his wife filling (sic) for divorce, has put him on a binge that I have never seen before. He is extremely hurt and extremely sick. He is often unable to obtain work because of this sickness. And his sickness is getting increasingly worse.” Yardbarker.com |

![]() Former NBA star Dennis Rodman is "extremely sick," "broke" and is in no position to pay hefty child and spousal support payments, according to court documents. Rodman is behind in his payments and faces a court hearing Tuesday in Orange. He faces up to 20 days in jail for failure to pay spousal and child support, according to an attorney for his ex-wife. As of March 1, Rodman, 51, owed $808,935 in back child support for the 9- and 10-year-old children that he had with his third wife, Michelle Rodman, said her attorney, Jack Kayajanian, in court documents. Rodman also owed $51,441 through March 1 in back spousal support, Kayajanian alleged in court documents. Los Angeles Times Michelle Rodman, identified in court papers as a Costa Mesa resident, is also requesting attorneys' fees, according to the Daily Pilot. Dennis Rodman's attorney, Linnea Willis, said in court documents that the former Laker is barely capable of paying for his living expenses, let alone the $5,000 he has for one child from another relationship, and the $4,500 monthly payment for spousal and child support to Michelle Rodman. The attorneys who have represented him to date have worked pro bono, Willis said. "Respondent Dennis Rodman is broke and cannot afford any additional fees," according to court documents filed on his behalf. He is "extremely sick" and his marketability is diminishing with age and illness, according to court documents. ![]() Dennis Rodman is bouncing back into basketball — this time as a coach for a topless women’s team he’s launching for Headquarters Gentlemen’s Club, the New York mammary mecca. The NBA bad boy dreamed up the team after hearing that rival strip joint Rick’s Cabaret had launched a league with former Atlanta Hawk Spud Webb, who runs the Texas Legends, an NBA Development League team. Rodman is even challenging Rick’s Cabaret’s topless team to a charity game. “I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the court,” Rodman told Page Six. New York Post “You don’t have to have too much experience, just know how to throw the ball into the hole,” was his sterling advice to hopefuls. Rodman said he also planned auditioning “players” during his appearance at Huntington, LI, club Paramount last night. Team members will wear shorts, skimpy shirts and sneakers during games. “They’ll come out in a T-shirt or a tank top, but when the game starts, they’ll go topless,” Rodman boasted. New York Post |

![]() Christmas was the first time I spoke with Noah. Following the Lakers’ misappropriation of seemingly secure funds in the last few minutes to the Bulls, I wondered if Joakim patented his rebounding, defensive, mostly non-shooting game after Dennis Rodman. “No. But Dennis paid me a huge compliment last year by telling me he sees a strong resemblance,” Noah said.
