The Orlando Magic have signed center Dewayne Dedmon for the remainder of the regular season, General Manager Rob Hennigan announced today. Dedmon originally signed his first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 25. Dedmon (#3, 7’0”, 255, 8/12/89) has appeared in three games with Orlando, averaging 2.3 ppg. and 1.0 rpg. in 2.0 minpg. He has played in 18 combined games this season with Golden State, Philadelphia and Orlando, averaging 2.5 ppg. and 2.9 rpg. in 9.0 minpg. He also appeared in 15 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, averaging 15.2 ppg., 13.1 rpg., 1.3 apg., 2.33 blkpg. and 1.53 stlpg. in 33.7 minpg. NBA.com

The second 10-day contracts of swingman Adonis Thomas and center Dewayne Dedmon will expire at 11:59 p.m. Sunday night. Team officials have decided they won't sign Thomas for the remainder of the season. Orlando Sentinel

As of Saturday morning, a decision had not been made about Dedmon's future with the team. A team may sign a player to two 10-day contracts during a single season. Once the second 10-day contact expires, the team can either sign the player for the remainder of the season or let him return to the free-agent pool. Orlando Sentinel

The Philadelphia 76ers today announced that they have signed center Dewayne Dedmon to a second 10-day contract. Dedmon signed his first 10-day contract with the Sixers on January 14, 2014. At the time, he was the 12th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2013-14 NBA Development League season. NBA.com
