The Rockets received confirmation from the NBA last week that Motiejunas may sign an NBA contract as soon as July 1, rather than when the moratorium period ends July 11. That would allow Motiejunas to get his clearance from FIBA in time to play for the Rockets’ summer league team beginning July 13, or even to go through the Rockets summer camp. Houston Chronicle

The third attempt by Donatas Motiejunas to make the national team is under a question mark. Lithuanian forward expects to sign a contract with the Houston Rockets this summer but due to NBA rules he would risk losing the contract in case of an injury. Motiejunas was the 20th overall pick by Minnesota Timberwolves in 2011 NBA Draft but the T-Wolves traded him to Houston Rockets. The player decided to spend one more year in Europe before moving to the NBA. After two seasons in Italy with Benetton Treviso, Motiejunas made a move to Asseco Prokom in order to have an opportunity to play in Euroleague. TalkBasket

Although Donatas Motiejunas has been linked with a move to Anadolu Efes by Turkish media, it might turn out that these talks are just unweighed rumors. Tomas Pacesas, the player’s coach at the Polish side Asseco Prokom, was surprised to hear such a scenario. "He's moving where? Turkey? First time I've heard about it. We're on a bus together with him in Moscow. We have just flown to a VTB League game. There are no talks of someone leaving the club," the Lithuanian specialist told lrytas.lt. The Hoop

Houston’s first round draft pick Donatas Motiejunas might be on the move again, as the Lithuanian 7-footer has drawn interest from several European clubs (Anadolu Efes, Khimki Moscow and Avozmash Mariupol among them). SheridanHoops

There's a chance Rockets first-round pick Donatas Motiejunas could remain with his Polish team and presumably miss the entire NBA season. So says Lithuanian website BasketNet. The site managed to track down Motiejunas' father and snag this quote (in yet another horrible example of Google Translate): This website "BasketNews.lt affirmed basketball dad Vidas Motiejunas. "Donate remain in Poland, because it has a contract until the end of the season and guided him. Not even thought about the NBA this season. N. is still young, before all eyes, "- site" BasketNews.lt "said Donato dad. The Dream Shake
