Rookie guard Doron Lamb was assigned to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League on Saturday. Coach Jim Boylan confirmed the move after the Bucks practice session at the Cousins Center. Lamb practiced with the team but was scheduled to report to Fort Wayne on Sunday. Lamb will practice with the team and play in road games against Los Angeles on Wednesday and Bakersfield on Friday. "It's an opportunity for him to play a bit," Boylan said. "Practice is practice and working out is working out, but there's nothing like playing in a game. This is not a punishment by any means. "This is to make him better and develop him. He shows great potential. We're excited about his future. At the same time, there's really nowhere for him to play right now. A lot of teams are using this open enrollment for the D-League teams where you can send a guy down and bring him right back. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

![]() Al Horford: "We have the 23rd pick and I know the team will draft the best player available. I would like to pick a shooter like Kentucky's Doron Lamb. But it wouldn't bother me if they picked a big who could help me like Festus Ezeli (Vanderbilt). Anyway, I doubt they will pick Jeff Teague's brother, Marquis Teague." Primera Hora |

Vanderbilt marksman John Jenkins, Kentucky's Doron Lamb and Oregon State's Jared Cunningham are among the shooting guards receiving high marks from Griz personnel. Scouts also seem impressed by point guard prospects Marquis Teague of Kentucky and Tony Wroten of Washington. However, Griz brass entertained swingmen Draymond Green (Michigan State) and Jae Crowder (Marquette) on Saturday with great interest because of a desire to also add more versatile, high basketball IQ players to the roster. Chad Ford (1:07 PM) I'm assuming you mean Kentucky. And yes, I think all five are likely first round picks. Anthony Davis is No. 1 on our Big Board. MKG is No. 2. Terrence Jones is No. 8, Marquis Teague is No. 25 and Doron Lamb is No. 29 ... Lamb will be on the bubble, but I think his shooting ability will get him in. Darius Miller is No. 42 by the way and it's not out of the question that he sneaks in too. ESPN.com |
