Asked if veterans Samuel Dalembert and Drew Gooden would have any role in the playoff series, Boylan said, "I don't think so at this point, no." Asked if that was performance-based or some other issue, Boylan said, "No. It's just the way it is; it's just the way it is." Gooden has been inactive 13 times and has 53 DNP-CDs (did not play coach's decision) this season, while the 6-foot-11 Dalembert has 33 DNP-CDs. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

The Bucks are however trying to find a home for Samuel Dalembert and Drew Gooden. Neither are overly sexy acquisitions, especially with Gooden owed some $13.3 million over the next two seasons, but those are the two names most linked to Milwaukee. HoopsWorld |

![]() It started on Sunday, when Gooden tweeted out “Just made it to Chicago. Bulls tomorrow payback’s a b----.’’ Noah then fired back: “Quit clownin and eat your food goodybagz.’’ Then it was Gooden’s turn, as he tweeted to Noah, “Heard you eating @PGChangs tonight. Don’t get the chopsticks tangled in your wig.’’All the makings for a serious showdown tonight, when the Bucks and Bulls meet for a second time in three days, right? Wrong. Chicago Sun-Times “What’s the story behind that? He wants a Twitter war so I gave him a Twitter war,’’ Noah explained after afternoon shoot-around on Monday. Then he let the cat out of the bag. “Nah, I love that guy, man. That’s my guy,’’ Noah said of Gooden, who has been inactive anyway. “That’s my best friend, man. Yeah, my best friend.’’ Chicago Sun-Times ![]() The Bucks don’t comment on trade speculation but the scuttlebutt around the league is the team is trying to move the 31-year-old Gooden, who is being paid $6.68 million for this season and the next two seasons as well. Racine Journal-Times ![]() If Drew Gooden is upset about being on the inactive list, he’s doing a whale of a job hiding it. The veteran power forward has said nary a negative word about his demotion. What’s more, he’s been constantly encouraging his teammates in practices and games. Sunday afternoon, after all his teammates and coaches had left the premises, Gooden spent nearly a half hour mentoring young big man Larry Sanders. “I’m not a selfish person and I’m not a selfish teammate,” Gooden said. “I’ll do whatever I can to help the team. Right now, I’m trying to help the team vocally in any way I can.” Racine Journal-Times |

After two straight injury-plagued seasons, Drew Gooden is confident that his health is strong and is the best it has been in his time with the Bucks. He’s been listed inactive over the past two games, but for now, he hasn’t broached the topic with coaches and doesn’t plan on doing so. “I’m doing great,” Gooden told RealGM on Saturday night. “I feel this is the healthiest I’ve been in quite some time.” RealGM |

Bucks center Drew Gooden reported some improvement with his sore lower back, after he sat out Milwaukee’s 107-98 victory over Cleveland on Wednesday night. “We thought the best thing was to get a couple days’ rest and see if it calms down,” Gooden said. “I’ve got to be smart in this situation. “It feels a whole lot better today and we’ll see how it feels tomorrow.” Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

A source close to the Bucks said they are doubtful that now is the time to get maximum value for the injured Bogut, meaning any and all suitors will have to make a strong push to do a deal. Bogut is owed a combined $27 million for the next two seasons, and -- as was reported by ESPN.com -- Milwaukee is indeed looking to unload the contracts of either Stephen Jackson (one season remaining at $10.1 million) or Drew Gooden (three seasons remaining for a combined $20.1 million) in any Bogut trade. For all the justified talk of Bogut's career being forever affected by his many ailments, the Bucks appear ready to move past this disappointing chapter either now or perhaps this summer. SI.com |

The 6-foot-10 veteran said he will use the time during the all-star break to rest the injury and will try to return next week. "I keep getting it banged up, where I'm landing on it or falling on the floor," Gooden said in the Bucks' locker room before the game against the Chicago Bulls. "Or getting it jammed while guarding guys in the post, just trying to make plays defensively. "It got to the point where it was just tough warming up before the game. It was painful to shoot. It got to the point where if I was going to shoot, it was only going to be in the game. "I couldn't warm up or do any spot shooting at practice. Some days at practice would be the worst. I needed for it to calm down and see what was really going on with it." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Gooden said his wrist is still stable. "It's probably a similar injury to what Kobe (Bryant) has," Gooden said. "It sounds like we're going through the same thing. "I think this rest during the break will do me good, and I look forward to be back in uniform after the break and take it from there." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Tobias Harris tried to do some drills Sunday morning but could barely raise his right arm over his head. So the Bucks rookie forward will not be able to play as Milwaukee faces the New Jersey Nets on Sunday night at the Prudential Center. Veteran Drew Gooden is not with the team as he continues his recovery from a sprained right wrist. Both players are listed as day-to-day. Rookie Jon Leuer again will get a start at center after lasting just 7 minutes against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Friday in the Bucks' 94-85 defeat. Leuer, Larry Sanders and Jon Brockman should get the center minutes against the Nets' Brook Lopez, making his first appearance (and first start) of the season after missing 32 games with a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Harris was injured when he ran smack into the Magic's Howard, who was setting a screen during the fourth quarter Friday. And it came moments after Harris had converted a three-point play to give the Bucks a 10-point lead. They were outscored, 22-3, the rest of the way. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Gooden's salary figures (he's due $26 million over the next four seasons) jump off the page as pricey, but sources say that the Bucks intend to keep him for at least one more season because they badly need frontcourt depth and rebounding. ESPN.com The Bucks have the 6-10 Gooden returning in the second year of a five-year contract at power forward and also will have 6-10 Ersan Ilyasova, who has been playing for a pro team in Turkey during the lockout. Under FIBA rules, Ilyasova is obligated to return for the final year of his contract with the Bucks. Gooden was limited to 35 games last season due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot. "I committed my summer to my body," Gooden said in an interview from San Francisco. "I wanted my foot to be in the best condition it's been in, and you will shortly see that. "The foot is feeling great. I have my days where it is sore, but I guess I won't know until I play five games in a row. I think the two biggest keys for any team this season will be staying healthy and being a deep squad." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Ricky Rubio played Sunday night in a charity game organized by Bucks forward Drew Gooden, marking the first time the Spanish guard had tested some NBA competition during the lockout. The former Barcelona guard hit the first three-pointer he attempted in the Make-a-Wish Charity Game held at the Cow Palace in Daly City, Calif. Rubio signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves but his NBA debut has been on hold due to the lockout which has canceled league games through Dec. 15. "I'm going to stay here for a while to see if we'll play," Rubio said in an Associated Press report on the game. "I can always go back to Spain. So I know I will be playing basketball somewhere this season." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |
