"It's just a decision he made and that's what he feels," House said. "So you've got to roll with it. Of course, as a competitor you want to be out there, but if you start letting stuff like that affect you as a professional, then you stop doing the things so you could be prepared." ![]() Sam Amico: Eddie House exits Heat locker room making threats, saying if he saw a certain individual he was gonna do some not-so-nice things. Twitter There was in-house hostility, too. Heat guard Eddie House wasn't willing to forgive Cavs guard Boobie Gibson for the events that led to double technical fouls in the late fourth quarter, and that standoff nearly segued into the worst of postgame scenes. House, who could be heard saying "When that (expletive) turns the corner I'm putting my hands on him," sat in the hallway near the Heat locker room having to be talked out of attacking Gibson. Carlos Arroyo, Jamaal Magloire and a number of security staff helped avert this conflict. FanHouse.com |

Heat guard Eddie House was cleared medically to return to practice, the team said Tuesday night. House, in his 11th season, underwent surgery in June to repair a labral tear in his left shoulder. He likely will work out Wednesday with the Heat, and if all goes according to plan, he will be available for an exhibition game at Atlanta on Thursday. The Heat plays Orlando in Tampa on Friday in its preseason finale. ``You want to be out on the court playing, especially if you're practicing'' said House, who averaged seven points last season for Boston and New York. ![]() Eddie House has heard it, and he's had it. So when asked Friday what the Heat must do to shut up its swelling, shrill chorus of critics, the veteran guard let them have it. "I think, you know what, honestly, I don't give a (expletive) about nobody else on the outside," House said. "It doesn't matter about anybody out there. I don't care what their expectations are. We have our expectations and our goals. We are going to achieve them. That's the bottom line." Palm Beach Post House, 32, doesn't figure to do the latter. He came into the league popping his collar, and has never been afraid to pop off, on or off the court. He has more credibility now, after playing a role in Boston's 2008 championship. His contention is that the critics have nothing else to discuss and, since "negativity sells," and "no drama's no fun," they're trying to create some. He calls it "messed up" that the stars are being criticized for taking less money to play together. "So, at the end of the day, middle fingers to all the haters," House said. Palm Beach Post |

![]() Asked to compare his upcoming experience to when he joined Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen on the 2007-08 championship Celtics, the 3-point specialist somehow managed to elevate expectations. “This is going to be even bigger,” he said. “This is going to be Boston on steroids.” House spoke like someone who appreciated his place in the NBA, as well as his place on the Heat’s roster. “Most of the time, I’m just happy to be living,” he told the newspaper. “I’m doing something I love to do and I get paid for doing it. There’s nothing for me to be upset about when I go to play basketball. I’m living my dream. I’m going to be ready to play when my number’s called, and a guy who never caused any problems in the locker room.” South Florida Sun-Sentinel He will report to the Miami Heat on Monday, forming alliances with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and others. One of the game's more likeable characters will begin assimilating with the most reviled team in the NBA. "I compare it to the year I went to Boston when the Big 3 got together in 2007," House said. "But this is going to be even bigger. This is going to be Boston on steroids." Arizona Republic |

Hours after Eddie House decided to spurn offers from numerous teams to join the Miami Heat, reports surfaced that the Boston Celtics had countered by signing guard Von Wafer. And though the Celtics have yet to confirm the deal, an hour ago Von Wafer told SLAM that he has an agreement in place to play for Boston this coming season. Coming off of a turbulent 2009-2010 campaign that began with him in Greece and ended with him returning to the States well before the end of Euro League play, the 6-5 Wafer is glad to be playing ball on this side of the Atlantic again. “I wasn’t always sure I’d be back,” says Wafer. “it’s unbelievable. I’m just so happy to be back. I’m just so happy.” SLAM |

![]() But the chance to play a key role in the Heat's rotation and compete for a championship alongside Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh was too much to turn down. House will receive about $2.8 million over two seasons, which is the veterans' exception. There is a player option in the second season. ``It's just a great fit,'' Bartelstein said. ``This guy had a great relationship with the Heat before. And he's still one of the most dynamic guys coming off the bench at hitting big shots in big moments. He's the best in the league at what he does.'' Miami Herald ![]() After completing the greatest free-agent coup in NBA history, Miami Heat president Pat Riley continues to surround Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh with strong complementary talent. The Heat have reached an agreement with 32-year-old guard Eddie House on a two-year contract for $2.8 million, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday. ![]() In the process of surrounding their core with a solid second unit, the Celtics had discussions about bringing Eddie House back to Boston. House, whose shooting streaks helped the Celtics win the title in 2008, was shipped to New York at the trade deadline last February in a deal for Nate Robinson. “It’s something [Celtics president] Danny [Ainge] and I have discussed,” House's agent Mark Bartelstein said. “But nothing’s imminent.” Should he find himself back in Green, however, he’d have to do it for less money. Pinched by the salary cap, the Celtics would only be able to offer House the veteran minimum. House made $2.5 million last season, but if he played for the minimum next season, he would be entitled to $1.35 million as a 10-year veteran. Boston Globe |

The Heat declined comment on Hardaway, with Heat President Pat Riley apparently unaware of the interest. Among others in legitimate contention for the team's few remaining roster spots are 2009-10 Heat players Carlos Arroyo and James Jones. Others from outside the organization linked to interest are Tracy McGrady, Jerry Stackhouse, Eddie House, Keyon Dooling, Jason Williams, Kwame Brown, Jawad Williams and Rasual Butler. In addition, Orlando Magic free-agent forward Matt Barnes has expressed possible interest in the Heat. South Florida Sun-Sentinel |
