Congratulations, Ekpe Udoh. Your Milwaukee Bucks might not have gotten the win in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, but it certainly looks like your trip to Hollywood was the stuff dreams are made of. I'm sure Deron Williams is as jealous as jealous gets this morning. First Dwyane Wade and David Hasselhoff, now Ekpe Udoh and Betty White. Because things happen in threes, I'm eagerly awaiting the excitement when Steve Novak finally meets Marsha Warfield from "Night Court." Yahoo! Sports |

There was no haul of multiple first-round picks or a wealth of young players ready to land in Ferry's lap. Actually, sources said the Bucks' offer for Smith wasn't much different from the offer that landed them Redick from Orlando. Milwaukee was willing to sweeten the deal with Ekpe Udoh and a first-round pick, but none of the Bucks' key players was included, according to a person briefed on the talks. CBSSports.com |

![]() Source: Atlanta Hawks blow up deal at last minute that would've sent Josh Smith to Milwaukee. Hawks would've re-ceived Ekpe Udoh, Luc Mbah-Moute, Beno Udrih and a protected No. 1 pick. Can't imagine the Bucks are happy having invested so much time in trying to make it happen. Leaves big question now if Hawks can do better this summer. Sulia ![]() Jeff Zillgitt: No surprise Ekpe Udoh is in trade discussions. Teams have been calling Bucks since the beginning of the season on his availaiblity. Twitter @JeffZillgitt ![]() Adrian Wojnarowski: Hawks, Bucks seriously talking on Josh Smith deal, sources tell Y! Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh among players discussed for Smith, Devin Harris. One rival executive said fourth-year point guard Brandon Jennings and forward Ersan Ilyasova are not expected to be traded. But center Samuel Dalembert (expiring deal worth $6.7 million) and fourth-year forward Ekpe Udoh could help get the deal done. USA Today Sports |

Warriors have also talked with Milwaukee Bucks about moving down to the 12th slot. The Bucks are looking to move up to secure one of the big men they like (John Henson, Tyler Zeller). If Thursday, Milwaukee believes Henson and Zeller will be gone (leaving them stuck with less-ready Meyers Leonard or Jared Sullinger and his back concerns), Bucks GM John Hammond may take the bait. Golden State could get Luc Mbah a Moute in return or even get Ekpe Udoh back. I’ve got to think Mark Jackson would prefer Ekpe Udoh. He had Ekpe playing his best ball before the Warriors (reluctantly) traded him to Milwaukee. Contra Costa Times |

![]() After spending 1 1/2 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, he was traded on March 13 to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the deal that saw scoring machine Monta Ellis, ex-Piston Kwame Brown and Udoh go to the Bucks for center Andrew Bogut and swingman Stephen Jackson. Udoh recalled that night just before this season's trade deadline before the Bucks' 113-97 win over the Pistons on Friday night at the Palace. "I had no clue what was going to happen," said Udoh, who spent two seasons in Ann Arbor before transferring to Baylor after one season under U-M coach John Beilein. Detroit Free Press "Coming off the court in Sacramento, I will never forget seeing on TV that I had been traded. It's surreal, really. But it's a business, and I got a firsthand glimpse of that. I understand that now, and now I'm with the Bucks, and I'm going to give it my all." The shock of it might be the downside, but the fact that the Bucks are fighting for a playoff spot is definitely an upside. They are only two games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Detroit Free Press |

![]() The Bucks are trading center Andrew Bogut and veteran guard Stephen Jackson to Golden State in exchange for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and the expiring contract of Kwame Brown, according to league sources. It's the first big deal prior to Thursday's trading deadline. The 7-foot Bogut is moving on after spending his first six-plus seasons with Milwaukee, after being taken No. 1 overall in the 2005 draft by the Bucks. Milwaukee gets a shooting guard to pair with point guard Brandon Jennings, giving the team a potentially dynamic starting backcourt. Ellis has two years left on his contract totaling $22 million but he has an opt-out after next season. Bogut played in just 12 games this season before fracturing his left ankle in a game played in Houston on Jan. 25. It's uncertain if he will be able to return this season. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ![]() Ellis held a closed-door session with his teammates, ahead of tonight’s game against the Kings. Also from the locker room: “Lots of head shaking among Warriors players. Steph Curry just walked over to a solo Udoh and hugged him.” “Dorell Wright, ‘I’ll talk about the game. I’m not talking about the trade crap.’ ” “Ekpe Udoh says he hasn’t been informed of a trade. ‘I’ve got 80 minutes to find out.’ ” One Warriors player said: “If we’re giving up, I can feel my hip hurting already.” San Francisco Chronicle Ekpe Udoh: Thanks for all of the crazy support. Will always love the fans from the bay!!! Twitter Mark Jackson on the trade: "We are grown-ups and it hurts, so we are not going to sugarcoat it. We talked about it, we laughed, we cried and then we understood the mission was still the same, and it was a great win for us. I can't comment on anything officially right now but those three guys (Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, Kwame Brown) bought into the system from Day 1. I owe a lot to them. People questioned me as a first-time coach, but those guys bought in since Day 1." Sulia |

The Warriors did not want to include Ekpe Udoh, and were trying not to. But when Monta Ellis - who had privately been telling the Warriors he wanted out - went public with his disappointment in franchise, they decided to grant his wish. Udoh was just a necessary casualty as Milwaukee would not do it without the Warriors' second-year center Sulia Rusty Simmons: Ekpe Udoh says he hasn't been informed of a trade. "I've got 80 minutes to find out." Twitter Rusty Simmons: Lots of head shaking among Warriors players. Steph Curry just walked over to a solo Udoh and hugged him. Twitter |
