The injury is actually good news financially for Moreland. Prior, he had just $200,000 of his $507,336 salary guaranteed, and he’d already earned $199,950 by staying on the roster this long. Now, as a result of the injury, the full salary is guaranteed. The final two years of his deal remain unguaranteed, so Moreland will have to prove himself during the offseason and preseason for Sacramento to bring him back. But at least he’ll be around the rest of this year, which was no guarantee until now. NBCSports.com
