The Celtics will have one summer league entry this Year as opposed to the two teams last year they carried. Boston will play in the Orlando Summer League team but will not feature that Bradley or Jared Sullinger. Sullinger is recovering from back surgery as expected. Bradley, who has missed the past two summers with injuries, is being held out to get rest. Fab Melo and the Celtics' first-round pick will be the featured players. Boston Globe

The Boston Celtics announced today that they have recalled center Fab Melo from their NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. Melo has appeared in 33 games for the Red Claws during the regular season and averaged 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and an D-League leading 3.1 blocks per game. NBA.com

Celtics rookie Fab Melo suffered a concussion last weekend after bumping his head on the doorway in his Sioux Falls hotel room while the Maine Red Claws (Melo's NBA Development League assignment) were in South Dakota for back-to-back games against the Skyforce. Melo was seen by the Red Claws medical staff and did not play in the team’s Monday afternoon game. On Wednesday, the Celtics recalled him to be evaluated by team doctors that night. CSNNE.com
