Sometimes it pays to obsessively check social media. Utah Jazz CEO Greg Miller reached out to three fans this morning via Twitter to invite them to join him at tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons. "3 open seats to the Jazz game tonight," Miller tweeted to three fans. "DM me with contact info before 10a if you'd like to join me." However, only one of the fans responded to the tweet before the deadline, and Miller instead invited two other fans. Deseret News

Lindsey was formally introduced Tuesday during a news conference at the team practice facility. Jazz CEO Greg Miller and president Randy Rigby praised the addition, touting Lindsey’s low-conflict, high-character personal nature. Jazz owner Gail Miller laughed and cried discussing O’Connor’s unyielding devotion to Utah’s lone major professional sports franchise. O’Connor had long considered removing himself from the NBA’s daily grind, but held off making the move during a lockout-compressed 2011-12 season that left little time for big-picture planning. Now, Lindsey assumes a position that first appeared within his grasp when he served as the Rockets’ vice president of basketball operations and player personnel. NBA commissioner David Stern said the name belongs to Utah, and Jazz CEO Greg Miller just tweeted this out: “The window of opportunity to change our name closed shortly after we moved to Utah from NOLA. Jazz CEO Greg Miller and Hall of Fame power forward Karl Malone are back on good terms, after all. They both attended Wednesday's Jazz-Suns game and shared a moment of laughter together in the arena prior to tipoff. "Yeah, Karl and I, we got it worked out," Miller told the Associated Press. "Everything's good." Malone, who had many run-ins with the late Larry H. Miller, railed on Jazz management on a local sports radio show co-hosted by Deseret News columnist Brad Rock. Malone was upset about how he deemed Jerry Sloan was treated and claimed he was forced to buy his own tickets to attend the first game after Sloan's resignation in 2011. Deseret News

A public feud between Jazz CEO Greg Miller and Hall of Fame forward Karl Malone is finally over. Miller and Malone exchanged smiles and warmly embraced Wednesday night in an EnergySolutions tunnel, minutes before the Jazz tipped off against the Phoenix Suns. "Karl and I have got it worked out and everything’s good," Miller said. The official reconciliation was announced during the same night NBA Commissioner David Stern visited ESA. Out of nowhere, it happened. Jazz CEO Greg Miller and Hall of Fame forward Karl Malone met late Monday inside EnergySolutions Arena, talked for about an hour and 15 minutes, then emerged from their private session to meet the media. Once their closed-door conference was over, there was only more silence. “We talked, and it’s between me and Greg,” Malone said. Miller declined comment. Salt Lake Tribune

After the game, Miller approached Malone and the duo spoke for about five seconds before the Jazz CEO walked away. Asked whether he planned to soon meet with Malone, Miller told The Tribune, “We’re not going to talk about that.” Miller and Malone then retreated to Utah’s coaches offices for their private meeting, with O’Connor walking in and out of the session. But, as Malone conversed with a couple of fans just outside the entrance to the Jazz locker room, Greg Miller walked by — close enough to exchange a high-five with The Mailman — and didn't even acknowledge the franchise's greatest player. Instead, Miller glanced briefly at Malone, looked down as he walked by, and then headed toward his own courtside seat located adjacent to the Jazz bench to watch the second half of Monday night's 106-102 loss to the Spurs. After the game, however, Malone and Miller met briefly courtside and went into the Jazz coaches' office together. Behind closed doors, they talked for almost an hour before Malone exited first.
