Walters said adding Fegan was a key move, not just because of his client list, but because of additional areas where he can add value to the group. “Dan has had No. 1 draft picks; he’s done all the negotiating you can do, but Dan is ready to help build a business and that is what we are excited about,” Walters said. “That is what we want to put together here. A lot of smart guys who have a lot of experience looking at how we want to grow sports in the future. What intangibles are we going to be able to identify and monetize and grow businesses around in the future?” Sports Business Daily

Earlier this month, Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson terminated his relationship with his agent Leon Rose at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and many speculated that Lawson would end up signing with basketball agent Happy Walters. Sports Agent Blog has received confirmation from Walters that Lawson is now his client. Lawson was drafted by Minnesota #18 overall in the 2009 NBA Draft, but the right to that pick was traded to the Denver Nuggets. Lawson has played with the Nuggets ever since (the Nuggets exercised its third and fourth year options on Lawson’s rookie contract). Sports Agent Blog

Sports Agent Blog has learned, through those sources, that Fegan is likely to become a part of the newly created Relativity Sports, a basketball, football and baseball agency led by Happy Walters. In an industry where very few agents allow themselves to develop relationships with their competition, Fegan and Walters have managed to find a way to remain friends throughout their respective careers. Fegan represents Dwight Howard, John Wall, Ricky Rubio, Stephen Jackson, Shawn Marion, Nene, Kevin Martin, and many other high-end NBA players. Walters’ biggest client is Amare Stoudemire, but he also represents guys like Iman Shumpert and Moe Harkless. According to HoopsHype.com, combining Fegan’s clients’ salaries with Walters’ clients’ salaries would result in a total of $179,455,308 under representation, putting the combo in the #4 overall spot just behind Creative Artists Agency (which may see its position change based on the recent NBPA certification of Rich Paul). Orlando Magic forward Earl Clark is "leaning" toward declining the player option on his contract in order to become an unrestricted free agent, Clark's agent, Happy Walters, told Orlando Pinstriped Post on Friday. Clark has until June 29th to notify the Magic of his decision. Walters said the team's lack of a head coach after dismissing Stan Van Gundy on May 21st may play a role in Clark's decision. Former St. John’s freshman Moe Harkless will sign with agent Happy Walters within a week or so, his mentor, Nate Blue, tells SNY.tv. “It’s a great agency,” Blue said of Rogue Sports. “They have tons of young clients and will work to get Moe in the right situation as he did with Iman [Shumpert] and others. He’s very smart and respected and will give him great advice.” ZagsBlog.com

Interestingly, the Complaint reveals that Jason Levien was not the only person tied to the sports agent industry who had a potential interest in purchasing the 76ers. Happy Walters’ name is first mentioned in Paragraph 10 of the Complaint. That paragraph states that Walters was introduced to the chairman of Comcast-Spectacor in November and December of 2010 as a representative of a potential purchasing group. Furthermore, Happy Walters’ name is included in the January 24, 2011 email agreement as a potential purchaser of the Philadelphia 76ers. Walters currently represents Amare Stoudemire, Iman Shumpert, Corey Brewer, amongst others in the NBA and abroad. Sports Agent Blog
